Welcome to Galleries at Happily Hippie. The purpose of these galleries is to photographically document certain aspects of hippie culture, such as family and work, to make the site more interactive by allowing viewers/readers to have their own relevant photos posted, and generally to add some color and richness to HappilyHippie.com.

Interested in having one of your relevant photos posted? Please go to Contact Us or simply email us at WebmasterPaul@HappilyHippie.com. Generally, we prefer files that download well; we like PNGs but other formats may work. Remember, if you do submit a photo, include any relevant information you would like noted with it. We reserve the right to edit those comments.

Gallery Two: Joy of Poi This gallery contains a mere two photos; both are of a hippie woman at Nedfest 2007 who preferred to remain unidentified. Got some poi photos you'd like to share? Eventually, a video would go well here.
Gallery One: Hippie Families This gallery has one such set of photos so far, taken at Nedfest 2007. In many ways, it's probably a rather limited range of hippie families seen here. Still, enjoy and do notice that these parents and older siblings do seem responsible, caring and attentive--in contrast to the stereotype of the abusive, neglectful hippie parent who, while they are getting high, let toddlers drown in the bathtub or abandon their young (see "Bigotry Always Looks Better in a Bowtie: The Stereotyping of Hippies").
Gallery Three: Hippies at Work So far, this gallery is more idea than reality. Now, that's not because there aren't millions of gainfully employed, hard-working Hippie-Americans out there. It's just that we haven't gotten around to photographing them yet. We'd love your help. Photos with people who are identifiably countercultural and clearly at work (or about to got to work) are preferred. As always, add any related information you're comfortable sending.
